Bill Leigh Brewer, Photography
Born in California, Bill divides his time between Los Angeles and the California high desert. He
received a graduate degree from USC. Bill is a recipient of the Donaldson Trust Fellowship, a
one-month residency at the Vermont Studio Center. He was named the Epson International
Pano Photographer of the Year in 2010. Bill recently returned to Vermont for a second Vermont
Studio Center fellowship. Bill continues to focus on the landscapes of the American Southwest
in his work.
Kate Carvellas: Painting, Assemblage, Mixed-Media
Kate Carvellas was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and attended George Mason University, where
she received a BFA in Theater. She moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to work in the entertainment
industry (Disney, etc.) It was not until 2004 that she turned her focus towards the visual arts.
Carvellas began exhibiting in 2008 and has expanded her practice since, with numerous solo
exhibitions and group shows. In 2018 she won first place and the purchase prize at the
Museum of Art and History, Lancaster. Her paintings and sculptures are in private collections
throughout the US, from Virginia to California.
Glenn Waggner, Painting
Glenn Waggner was born and raised in Southern California. Growing up in the beach
communities, he was immersed in the 1970s surfing and skateboarding culture. Always drawing
and sketching, Glenn has worked in the architectural profession for many years. The subject
matter of the paintings uses vivid color, to create a scene that captures a place and moment in
time and invokes a story formed by the viewer. Beach towns, restaurant and bar interiors and
cityscapes, both real and imaginary, are rendered often with a touch of humor.
Wini Brewer, Painting
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Brewer studied at Art Center College Pasadena, California State
University Long Beach, and University of California Los Angeles. She is the recipient of two
Vermont Studio Center fellowships. Her current work combines abstraction with representational
elements, using layered acrylics often juxtaposed with black and white graphics or collage. She
is represented in collections throughout the U.S.,Canada, France and the U.K.
