Artist, Havered paintings are poignant, luxurious works of art. Their construction is confident and strident showing at times remarkable breadth in alternate layering and parting paint.
The best of the paintings conduct their language in elegiac couplets with clues in obscuro obumbro, turbido, obnubilo. A nuanced painterly language ties the artists structure together in languid pools with hematite projectiles of meaning that come forward from the field. Animals are witness to all that avenge crimes against the natural order; all colored.
This artists exhorts us to be exacters of justice in the world. We try to fix the extreme paradox in our age, but it is provisional. Are the Erinyes’ angry spirits wrecking havoc on our world as restitution or ready spirits who will always hunt up and search criminal correction.
